GI Workshop on Electronic Voting in April 2018 in Konstanz
The GI (German Computer Science Society) is one of the few organizations in Germany that offers its voters a remote Internet channel for their annual elections. The GI section “E-Commerce and E-Government” is going to organize this workshop on Electronic Voting at the GI Security conference “GI Sicherheit 2018”, at one of the days 25.-27. April in Konstanz. The organization team of this workshop includes Rüdiger Grimm (Koblenz), Robert Krimmer (Tallinn) and Melanie Volkamer (Darmstadt).
The goal of the workshop is to gain a deeper insight into the state-of-the-art of professional e-voting systems, which are available, usable, secure, and which meet all important requirements on democratic voting.
We invite interested persons and/or institutions to present (either in English or in German) existing solutions. We expect that every presentation will cover the following issues:
- customers / experiments
- costs for 20.000 voters
- possibilities to authenticate voters
- high-level protocol description for vote casting and tallying
- assumptions for vote secrecy and integrity
- ability to provide the Interface in German
The workshop will take place on April 26. The program is as follows:
