Curriculum Vitae

PhDr. Juraj Sikra, M.A. (Hons), MSc., CIPD (Assoc.), PhD. is a postdoctoral researcher in the SECUSO Research Group of Prof. Dr. Melanie Volkamer since 4 June 2025. Juraj works on the Digital Transformation Research (DiTraRe) in the area of cyber-securing sports' science data from misappropriation as well as lecturing in cybersecurity. 

Prior to joining SECUSO, Juraj completed a fully funded PhD (2021-2024) from improving cybercrime reporting at the University of Strathclyde - Glasgow (UK) within the CIS StrathCyber Group (in assoc. with GCHQ's NCSC). Juraj's PhD was supervised by Dr. Daniel R. Thomas, Prof. Karen V. Renaud and Dr. Ben Collier who have significantly improved his work and enabled him to publish impactful peer-reviewed research. 

Apart from a multidisciplinary skillset from both quantitative and qualitative research, Juraj brings with himself a network of international relationships spanning the public, private and third sector organisations. In the years before his PhD commencement, Juraj specialised in criminal and clinical mental health work in both private and public capacity.
